i think i was just thinking of this show the other day when i was missing a few shows from childhood that i wish my kids had: mr. rogers, 3-2-1 contact, reading rainbow...love those!
I love how Youtube enables me to relive my childhood. You all have to check out the old Sesame Street skits on there. My personal favorite is "The ladybug's picnic". Jess
The secret to being miserable is having the leisure to bother about whether you are happy or not.
-George Bernard Shaw
1.)"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived. "
2.)"The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache."

I miss that!!
I didn't grow up with this, but as soon as Devin heard the music, he said, "This is 3,2,1 Contact!" and was extremely excited.
Your boys are so cute. They are getting so big, too!

i must have been deprived - i don't remember that. . . was it a show? but the music is sure a reminder of the good old 80's shows!
Kat - It was a PBS show all about science and things - it played in our early elementary school years...
Pat - our PBS still airs Mr. Rogers and Reading Rainbow - does yours not?
One of the best shows!! Thanks for picking such a great memory:)
I sung along, did anyone else?
