Well, it's a long story - I have been trying the training techniques that my vet showed me with Jenny and it has helped with some things but not the thing were she runs away and barks at people. The boys are still letting her out on accident. So, I've been thinking about it and just decided to let go of the guilt and just do it. We'll get a cat when we get to Idaho. I know it is going to be really difficult to let her go but not as difficult as keeping her. I just hope my kids won't hate me for the rest of their lives for it. I just didn't want to be a bad example showing that when things/people get rough - just give up. Oh well...
well - at least you tried with jenny! um - also this: when are you moving to idaho????? and maybe this cat in the video will still be available to adopt :)
The secret to being miserable is having the leisure to bother about whether you are happy or not.
-George Bernard Shaw
1.)"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived. "
2.)"The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache."
