When looking for a name for my kids I don't necessarily want to find something weird or strange but I'm never that happy to see my name choice in the top ten - Andrew is no. 11. So today I pulled down the top 100 boys names of 2006. Our top name for the boy isn't different at all but luckily it didn't make the top 100. There are some I am still considering that are on here and some that aren't. I'll bold my favs from this list. Without further ado...Here they are:

Well - you saw my baby boy list - none are on there except Henry! I highly doubt my son's name will ever be on the top 100 list! :) Out of those 100 i really like Henry (obviously), Joshua, Andrew, and Daniel. Anyway - i can't wait to hear what you name your new little guy!
We really like the name Atticus but since both my friend Alyson and my cousin Patria used it I think it's off the list. Here are some other names that weren't on the list that we are considering though one seems to be sticking more than the others. I don't want to say for sure because I like the freedom to change it once the baby is born.

there is a little boy in my ward named atticus! i love elliot. . .and i LOVE Quinn, but i like it for a girl - not many people agree with matt and i on it being a girl's name though!
hmm. i'm slightly surprised that noah was on the list, just cause i didn't know ANY noahs when our noah was born. anyways... i think you should use james. :) you already have an andrew, which is james' real first name...
That's a great looking list! Honestly - any child of yours could pull off pretty much any name and make it seem adorable ... but the ones you're choosing sound great.
Kathy - we know a little girl named Quinlan...and she goes by Quinn, so.....ya! The name can go both ways I guess.
Wasn't there a "Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman" show too - maybe that's why some people attach that name to the female gender?
I say feel free to keep Atticus as an option- sadly we live far away from eachother- crazy and cool if we had two of them in the family though- it being such a rare name. just knowing there are two others with that name mentioned here amazes me. I have a brother named Truman, another rare one, and cousin Stephanie named one of hers Truman- so there's two in the fam. And there could be a few Weston's in the fam too (: I have never met a Benjamin I didn't like- I think its a really good name. James is a great name. We put that as Atticus' middle name... I've heard of a couple Asher's lately and I love that name too. Gosh wouldn't Peter be cute too?... I will tell you my other dream boys name: Miles Holladay...Mark's middle name. I love that name. I love names!
I also like the name Heber.
Truman is a really cute name - and so is Benjamen. I like the idea of calling him Benji but Mike isn't into that. Peter is one of my top top picks. I never met a bad Peter - don't tell me if you have. Heber was a popular name in the 1910's but is unheard of since then. Mike said last night that Harold is off his list. Harry Knorpp just sounds too much like a descriptive noun.
I just saw on the news the other night that Aidan was the number one name last year. (Maybe it was just in Utah) It seems that everyone went through a Hayden, Kayden, Aidan, Jaden phase.
megan - HA HA HA HA HA on the "harry knorpp"!!!! that was the one thing when we liked the name "harrison" - we didn't want anyone to shorten it to harry - but i know that would have happened. there is no shortening linus :)
Peter Knorpp! Ahhhhh! that is such a great name. Never ever met a Peter I didn't like and its a classic name that I never really hear much either.
man I was hoping none of my boys names were in the top 100, but Cooper was #80. Well, at least it was not that popular. Dane is never on lists I love it.
