New Chickens

We got four chickens today to add to our one. They are all older chickens - but still pullets - meaning females less than a year old. I'll write more about it later...

New proposed color scheme for my house...

Well, I've been leaning towards the greens and the blues in my home decorating choices for a while now - but recently I've wanted to do something else. I've been wanting to do pink. And orange too - maybe more marigold than orange but here are some samples. I just love the colors in the drinks image. Of course these all came from Martha. Along with a photo I took of the Houston Temple that I want to get printed and put up.

Why am I blogging about this? I guess I am totally feeling the nesting thing going on and I am excited. And since I can't paint anything tonight I am going to put it up in my virtual world. The first things to do are to paint my kitchen table a creamy color and paint the chairs that marigold color. Then get some fabric for pillows for my couch. Then find a frame and get the temple photo printed. Yay! I'm so excited!

What is blik?

I think I may have posted about this company before but I felt it deserved an update. If you haven't checked out the wall decals at blik you must do so today. There is something for every style - at least in my opinion - and they are so rad. I'm not much of a hanger of art on my walls - I can't narrow it down to something I feel is really me - but these I love. I've included images of some of my favorites - though there are still more I'd love to show...I had to stop sometime. Tons of companies are doing this now and you can find some cool ones on etsy but no site that I know of has this many good ones in one place. Go and see it now - the prices are totally reasonable and the effect is HUGE.




p.s. Why don't some of us by one of the vinyl cutter machines and start our own business?
